Devils @ Bruins 3/1/12 PREVIEW

video I took from Bruins @ Devils warm-ups (1/4/12)

Thursday, 3/1/12, at 7pm eastern time, the New Jersey Devils play the Boston Bruins. The game will be played at the TD Bank Garden, home of the Northeast division leading Bruins. Boston has 77 points, three more than Jersey. Despite the close standings, the bruins have outplayed New Jersey all three times that they met this year. Having personally gone to the two games between these teams at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, I felt as though the Devils either played one and half strong periods, or two strong periods during those games. The third period was a large collapse for both games. And as much as i would love to see the Devils win this game, I cannot say I am leaning towards one team having a large edge in the matchup. The Bruins, coming off a record of 4-5-1 in their last ten; and the Devils, coming off a 5-4-1 record in their last ten games, make it tough to predict a winner. All we can hope for is Marty Marty "one man party" Brodeur to get back to the way he began immediately following the all-star break. The devils seem to be slipping by losing three straight, and their matchup does not get any easier tonight. Should be a great game! GO DEVILS!
